Hello dear readers,

Today I caught Elias’ poo again! That makes it three times now within one week 😍

I just have to be more proactive in trying to catch his pee, from now on πŸ˜“

On a side note,

I just recalled that upon picking up Elias from his daycare today, he was so excited to see me that he accidentally hit (or slap) one of his daycare buddies that were nearby him.

I was so shocked and immediately told Elias to “klappa fin” his friend. And to my relief, he did patted his friend nicely.

One of his teachers were there and saw this event. It’s good that she saw this now she can be extra careful around Elias so that he doesn’t hit other children in the future πŸ˜”

Elias himself appeared really surprised that he hit the boy. He really was sorry I could see it on his face. I hope dear boy would be more careful next time.

Good night! πŸ’€πŸ˜΄

Elias and Cekodok

So, we have a little monkey in the house that loves “cekodok”. Cekodok is the Bahasa Malaysia word for mashed banana fritters.

Just look at our little monkey enjoying his dose of cekodok.

And yes, this was even after dinner πŸ™‚

Picking up after himself

This just happened today, twice, I have to add. Elias took a basket full of his mittens and snowcap and threw the contents onto the floor. I was surprised and was just about to tell him off because I wanted to go upstairs and felt like I didn’t want to deal with his mess now. But I didn’t say anything to him and I just told him that Mamma is going upstairs. And to my surprise, Elias bent down and picked up the things one by one and put them back in the basket. I was really impressed! But I didn’t say anything about it.

Then we went upstairs, I brought with me a bag full of dirty laundry from daycare. Elias started playing with it and I was like oh no, here comes mess my layndry all over the already dirty floor. I left the bag on the floor coz I needed to get ready to go out. I went around the house while getting ready, and then I saw that Elias was picking up all of the clothes and putting them back in the bag! Wow..! Now I have done this many times every time he is done playing with his toys but he never followed me. So I wonder if this is something he learned from his daycare or from me?

Also he ate apple today! Sliced and without the skin. He loved it soo much! But he still didn’t want to hold it with his fingers. Instead he asked me to feed him.

But these are all big improvement that Elias is learning. I am so happy and very motivated to teach him more!

We love you our son πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

BLW – Elias’ version

Dear Elias,

As mamma has probably written in my earlier posts, you were not such a fan of touching wet, moist and soft food. Usually you will make a special expression as if you’re surprised and then moved your fingers away from the food.

So today I was very happy when you picked up a piece of carrot and put it in your mouth 😍

 What a milestone! πŸ˜‡

Doctor checkup

From the first time that I gave Elias cow’s milk, Elias started then to have dry, raised patches on the insides of both his arms. He began to scratch himself on the raised spots and also on his chest just on his neckline.

So I stopped giving him cow milk (it was only for few times for a couple of days) yes, the itchy bumps came quite instantly within one to two days.

But he kept on scratching on his body, arms and legs. Then I suspected that he has eczema just like me, just like my father.

I have tried putting on Miniderm creme all over his body (for the dryness) after every diaper change and applied hydrokortison creme on the areas that he always scratches but it didn’t make any difference.

Once, after we moved to our new house in JΓΆrlanda, I wanted to check if it was something external that caused his skin to react in such way, so I stopped using perfumed clothes detergent and stopped completely with clothes softener.

To top to that, I also excluded from his diet, all milk and dairy products such as; milk, yoghurt, breakfast cereal, creamer, butter.

And instantly, his skin condition improved. But, he has made the habit of scratching himself in his sleep. So it was quite difficult for his skin to heal even after I stopped with the perfumed washing detergent, and excluded dairy from his diet.

Elias BLW Day 1

Before: Jasmine rice, ready made curry sauce, long bean, fried salmon

After the meal. Not much was consumed 😦 I had to spoon feed him a couple of times to make sure that he ate some.

Still feeling hungry after dinner; he requested the “majskorvar”.

So many teethΒ

They’re coming all at once! Elias is so much in pain but he is very strong. Elias doesn’t have appetite to eat and he only wants to drink breastmilk. But he is very nice; he doesn’t bite mamma’s nipple!

All the teeth are coming out 😨😱
